Reliable wi-fi and accommodating staff, but the musty room smell was off-putting.

The location was great and brilliant - so close to excellent eateries and good shopping, all the major attractions and restaurants and everything, evenwhere to get bomb Thai food in the middle of the night. We stayed for 3 nights here, loved Downtown Portland district.

great access to parks and fantastic food options nearby

I appreciated the hotel's central position since it made it easy to take a less than 5-minute walk to great local eats and explore the lovely Ira Keller Fountain Park just a bit further, making my city strolls even more enjoyable.

It is within walking distance to everything. Loved that Stumptown Coffee and Clyde Common had entrances to the lobby.

Always seemed to have a panhandler outside the front window.

    late checkout fee

    Amazing vibes and comfy stay!

Just spent 3 nights and it was awesome! The king room had a sweet couch. AC that felt soooo good. Walked everywhere, and there was this coffee shop next door that had the best brew I've ever tasted at a hotel. Just a little bummed about the $25 fee for late checkout-kind of reminded me of they were squeezing every dollar outta ya.

Location downtown. Every other hotel was booked.

Funky rehabbed building with rustic qualities. Too expensive for the quality if the room.

It is a slick boutique hotel.

For the price I paid, over $200, for 1 night, I should have had a bathtub.

Not much except my teenagers liked their room and stereo.

Grungy lobby Very Noisy Very expensive for what you get Other guests were inconsiderate and noisy Breakfast room was cramped. And limited options. Felt like a 1940s boarding house rather than a hip hotel charging nearly $200 a night.

Pet-friendly hotel in a local area adjacent to shops, food, and coffee places and restaurants and everything, bookstore, shopping, restaurants, downtown. Such a really nice stay on our last visit.

Love the vibe at the Ace - very chill and funky. Of course, great coffee in the lobby (Stuptown). Very interesting design in rooms. Really feels like a boarding house more than a hotel.

Facilities are a little lacking. Specifically for a business traveler, having no fitness room and no partnership with a nearby gym is a big drawback. Website could add a bit more about where to park, whether or not there is room service, gym, etc.

Very uniquely decorated room...absolutely fabulous. Adjoining coffee shop and bar were both fantastic. Great shower. Good location with lots of restaurants and bars within a five minute walk....and the legendary Powells bookstore is just round the corner...this is a must do :)
